Emergency PPKM officially extended until July 25 and will open July 26 if the number of COVID-19 cases drops. This travel requirements during Emergency PPKM which needs to be obeyed.
The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conveyed the extension of the Emergency PPKM on Tuesday (20/7/2021) night through a press conference on the Presidential Secretariat Youtube. In the statement submitted, the Emergency PPKM was extended and would be relaxed if the number of COVID-19 cases decreased.
“If the trend of cases continues to decline, on July 26, 2021, the government will open it in stages,” said Jokowi.
Thus, the rules Emergency PPKM will still be continued. This includes the travel requirements stated in Circular Letter Number 15 of 2021 concerning Restrictions on Community Activities during the Eid al-Adha 1442 H Holiday, valid from 18 to 25 July 2021.
The scope of the regulation includes restrictions on community mobility, restrictions on religious activities on holidays, restrictions on gathering activities, restrictions on tourist attractions and socialization of restrictions on community activities.
General and private long-distance travel conditions:
“First, long-distance travelers from and to the island of Java-Bali, using air must show vaccination card the first dose and the negative result of the PCR test,” said Transportation Ministry Spokesperson Adita Irawati.
“Secondly, long-distance travelers from and to the island of Java-Bali, in addition to using air transportation, must show a vaccine card for at least the first dose, 1×24 hour PCR or 1×24 hour rapid antigen test,” he added.
Then, long-distance travelers to and from outside Java-Bali during Eid al-Adha are required to show a negative test result for the PCR test or rapid antigen test.
“The long-distance traveler was required to bring the STRP issued by the regional government, and or a letter of assignment from the company leadership, or a minimum echelon II official for the government and a wet stamp or electronic signature,” he explained.
Then regarding the provision of showing a vaccine card for travel outside the region except for logistics distribution service vehicles.
“Then for those who have urgent interests such as serious illness, pregnant women, non-COVID corpse carriers. But all of these must be able to show negative results for both PCR and antigen tests,” he said.
Then for travelers under 18 years of age during the Eid al-Adha period, they will be limited or asked not to travel in advance. “This rule will take effect on July 19, 2021. Routine travel in the agglomeration area will follow current regulations,” he said.
