Local authorities released footage showing the Ural Airlines plane in a field near a forest area in the Novosibirsk region. It was reported by local authorities that there were no casualties in this incident.

The footage showed the plane had activated the emergency slide and people could be seen standing in the field area around the fuselage.

“At 05.44 Moscow time, an unscheduled landing by a Ural Airlines A320 flying along the Sochi-Omsk route was successfully carried out,” Russia’s aviation agency, Rosaviatsia, said in a statement.

It was stated that the emergency landing was carried out ‘at a location selected from the air’, located near the village of Kamenka, Novosibirsk region, Siberia.

“According to the crew, there are 159 passengers and six crew on board,” said Rosaviatsia in his statement.
