Emergency landing of Air France aircraft by troublesome passenger | Abroad

The passenger, an Indian, is said to have quarreled with fellow passengers almost immediately after take-off in Paris, attacked a member of the crew and sat at the cockpit door, a Bulgarian official said Saturday. The captain then decided to make an emergency landing.

The man was taken off board in Sofia on suspicion of endangering flight safety. This carries a prison sentence of up to ten years.

The plane has continued its flight to the capital of India.
