NEW YORK — Firefighters and utility crews flooded a Bronx intersection en masse Friday amid reports of a large gas leak in the area, according to footage from the scene.
Details about the response at the intersection of Park Avenue and East 189th Street were not immediately available. The area was packed with personnel after the incident report came in around 9 a.m.
At least one building was evacuated, though it was unclear how many people were affected.
Firefighters reported a smell of gas in the area, but said they were working to identify the source of the possible leak.
