At the outdoor pool in the Oppau district, gas leaked into the technical room on Thursday and led to a fire brigade. The bathers present at the time were brought to safety and remained uninjured. An employee suffered respiratory irritation when entering the room, according to police.
According to the fire brigade, the cause of the accident was a leak in the technical room. Measurements showed that there was a slight release of chlorine gas. No increased concentrations of the gas were found in the vicinity of the bath.
