The veteran climbs further into the history books, now only Anna Wijk remains to pass.
Wednesday’s Umeåderby in SSL between Thorengruppen and Dalen ended as expected with victory for the league leaders. The final score was 15-3. One of the hottest players of the evening was 32-year-old team captain Emelie Wibron with four points (2+2), and with that she wrote new history.
In the Swedish Superliga’s all-time scoring league, she went from third to second place when she passed Emelie Lindström’s 747 points, Wibron now stands at a total of 749. Then she also does not have that far to go to number one Anna Wijk, who has scored 770 points.
– They are not bad players, says Wibron in Expressen’s broadcast when commentator Henrik Vilhelmsson reveals the achievement.

Emelie Wibron began her SSL career with Anna Wijk, among others, and they played their first Umeå derby against Dalen together in the fall of 2009. Wibron was 17 and Wijk 18 at the time. Today, Wibron had a 19-year-old chain mate in Moa Kareståhl, who became a four-goal scorer. She was thus only four years old when Wibron played her first derby.
– I am as much older than her as she is older than my son, so there is a 13-year difference, says Wibron and continues:
– She has come in really well, it’s a big step from the Allsvenskan to coming in with us. She has handled herself very well. It feels like she will only get better and better. Give her even a little more time and it will be really good.
Also in terms of number of goals, Wibron is the second best of all time with their 422 to the number. There, only Endres Anna Jakobsson surpasses her with 471 goals.
