Ergo, O2 Telefónica and Telefónica Insurance have entered into a partnership in the area of “embedded insurance”. What they offer customers.
In the future, O2 private customers will be able to book additional insurance digitally. The first offer, “O2 Care | Mobility,” will start on August 7. This means that O2 is offering its private customers a mobility guarantee if a rented vehicle breaks down or their bicycle breaks down. Users also receive telephone support via a 24/7 assistance hotline. In addition, they have the option of reducing the deductible per claim for so-called shared mobility offers such as cars, (e)bikes or scooters across Europe.

The second offering, “O2 Care | Travel,” is due to follow in the fall. This includes, among other things, international health insurance with medical repatriation, reimbursement of rescue and recovery costs, as well as comprehensive travel and emergency assistance. The insurance can be taken out for both individuals and families. Two further products for other areas of life are to follow.
