After chaos at 2G admission controls: RB Leipzig makes fans a strong offer

Almost 40,000 spectators were guests in the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday evening. Obviously there were problems at the entrance.

Leipzig – 39,794 fans attended on Wednesday evening Champions League game from RB Leipzig against Paris Saint-Germain (2:2) officially in the stadium. It obviously took a while until all the spectators in the Red Bull Arena were actually in their seats.

In the social networks There are numerous pictures of angry fans, some of whom missed the kick-off and even the 1-0 through Christopher Nkunku (23) because the admission controls would have been so slow.
Zeit journalist Martin Machowecz (33) tweeted, for example: “2G, the control of which leads to these scenes – then you can leave it. Pandemic management for crazy people, dear RB Leipzig. Embarrassing, dangerous.”
Furthermore, one can read of the “complete failure in the area of process management”. RB reaps ridicule on the net – the club had warned against this rush of fans.

The Red Bulls’ side said before the game: “Please come to the stadium early today. The many construction sites in the city, the increased number of spectators and the digital double check at the turnstile (ticket, health certificate) will take some time.”
Those who took the advice to heart apparently had no problems getting to the arena on time. Even those who did not have a digital vaccination certificate could show their yellow passport at the service points and the ticket was finally activated.
Quite different, but apparently the picture that presented itself around the kick-off in front of the stadium. No distance, no masks – a terrifying scenario, given the rising corona numbers.

In spite of everything, the club asks once again to show up at the stadium as early as possible, “so that on Saturday we can all cheer for the full 90 minutes with our team”.
Not only the numerous construction sites in Leipzig could be fatal for those arriving by car. There are also registered for some demonstrationsthat could seriously hinder road and LVB traffic.
