On December 8, Embark Studios, founded by people from DICE, released a shareware shooter The Finals. The game turned out to be very successful and gained over 10 million players in just two weeks.
As in any self-respecting modern online shooter, The Finals There is a battle pass consisting of 96 levels. Quite quickly, gamers found out that it took about an hour to complete one level, so it would take almost 100 hours to complete the entire pass.
This approach caused dissatisfaction among many gamers. Here are some of the comments on the profile subreddit:
I don’t see how this could be beneficial to the game. Battle Passes don’t take as long to complete in any major game.
I really hope the developers fix things next season because I don’t see the point in buying the pass again if everything stays the way it is.
As a community, we should push for a pass in the spirit of Halo Infinite. You buy it and can take it at any time. If you have multiple unfinished Battle Passes, you can choose which one to complete.
However, some gamers were satisfied. Their argument is that they would be bored if the battle pass could be completed after just a month of active play.
The Finals is a competitive shooter in 3v3v3 or 3v3v3v3 format depending on the game mode. In each mode, the emphasis is on collecting money. The shooter from DICE veterans stands out from the rest due to its total destructibility.
The Finals available for free on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
