Embark Studios, founded by people from DICE, has released a mid-season update to its debut shooter The Finals. Patch version 1.6.0 added a temporary mode for singles has been added to the game, several balance changes have been made and a portion of cosmetics has been added.
The temporary mode is called Steal the Spotlight. Players start in a match with a class and equipment determined by the developers. The maps are at night and without lighting, and the banks for depositing money are guarded by turrets.
