Emanuele Filiberto in the past had to face a bad illness that forced him to two operations. What is it about?
If there is one thing about the prince Emanuele Filiberto we are used to is his smile. In all the television occasions in which he took part, he has always shown himself very elegant and always smiling well, in a manner, polite and respectful of everything and everyone. Nice and funny, we remember him at the talent of Friends as a judge in the last edition, where he did not miss comic jokes but at the same time serious and important reflections on the performances he was attending.
Yet, although it might seem strange, behind this joyous and amused appearance, in the past the prince has had to face a bad disease which forced him to two operations. But what is it about?
Emanuele Filiberto, the discovery of the bad disease
Emanuele Filiberto, in addition to having a noble title, over the years has made himself known and loved by the general public for his numerous appearances on television. We recently saw him at the evening of Friends as a judge together with Stefano De Martino and Stash, frontman of The Kolors.
Although he has always shown himself for his sympathy and his composure, long ago in an interview with OK Salute stated that he had faced a bad illness in the past. But the way he discovered it is impressive.
One day, out of the blue, he lost his voice. So the wife, the actress Clotilde Courau, had convinced him to go for a specialist visit to find out what was wrong. As the prince himself revealed, “I didn’t pay much attention to it, but after a week Clotilde convinced me to go to the doctor, saving my life“. And it is in this way that Emanuele Filiberto discovered that he had had a tumor in the nasal septum.
It has been a long way
In 2011 Emanuele Filiberto the long journey began, undergoing for the first time an operation to remove the tumor mass. On that occasion it was fortunately discovered that it was a benign form, but unfortunately after only four months it reappeared. The prince had such difficulty in breathing that they had to remove a very substantial portion of the nasal septum.
Everything seemed to be over for the best when the problem came in 2019 he came back for the third time. Hence the need to carry out periodic checks to monitor the situation and prevent it from getting worse.

Today the judge of Amici is fine but he has to live with this problem, often monitoring the situation so as not to risk it becoming a malignant tumor mass.
