EMA reports a new side effect of the Janssen vaccine | Coronavirus what you need to know

Cutaneous vasculitis can cause a rash or bruising. Sometimes the inflammation can also penetrate to internal organs, resulting in stomach, intestinal and muscle complaints. Then the condition is called systemic vasculitis.

Lareb has so far reported three reports of cutaneous vasculitis following a Janssen vaccine shot, out of approximately 860,000 shots. At the end of last year, around 42.5 million Janssen vaccines had been administered worldwide.
