The Flyers have a litany of injuries coming into their game against the Rangers at the Wells Fargo Center (7 p.m. ET/TNT).
Carter Hart (lower body), Patrick Brown (upper body), Cam Atkinson (lower body), Cam York (lower body), Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) and Nate Thompson (lower body) will all miss the Wednesday’s game with New York.
Yeo said Brown will likely be out for the rest of the season. As of Wednesday night, the Flyers had nine games left in their very disappointing 2021-22 campaign.
Brown, a 29-year-old fourth-line forward in his first season with the Flyers, has four goals and five assists in 44 games.
Yeo said the Flyers are concerned about Hart’s status for the rest of the season. The 23-year-old’s injury is new and not the ongoing issue that kept him out of training on March 29 on precautionary grounds.
The Flyers were officially knocked out of the playoffs last month, so they have no reason to risk things down this stretch.
Zack MacEwen, who has missed the last five games with a head injury, will be back in the lineup.
The Flyers called Tanner Laczynski, Felix Sandstrom and Egor Zamula under emergency conditions. All three will enter into the composition.
