On August 14, the festival “Laiva” will take place on the shores of the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum and on Lake Jugla.
As previously reported, the Latvian folk metal group “Skyforger” and the group “Dagamba” will take the stage of the festival, which are the organizers of the festival and will celebrate the tenth year of the group’s existence during the event.
While waiting for the festival, the leader of the group “Dagamba” Valters Pūce noted: “I am very pleased that by organizing the festival for the second year,” Laiva “is valued and occupies an important place in the Latvian music industry. People’s interest in inter-genre music is growing, and it is already visible that the number of visitors will almost double this year. With the group “Dagamba” we are preparing a special concert with our important guests, with whom we experienced success and unforgettable moments during our 10 years of existence, which we will experience again on August 14 at the festival “Laiva”. It is a great pleasure that our festival will be complemented by such fantastic inter-genre music groups as “Madara”, Elza Rozentāle with the group “Bur mani” and, of course, “Skyforger”! ”.
Visitors are invited to the festival by boat, motorboat, SUP boards or catamarans, as well as by public transport, personal car or bicycle, because this year the festival will be enjoyed not only on the lake, but also on land, thanks to a specially designed 360 ° stage on which will be performed by artists.
