Elvis Presley concert video featuring possible time traveler with iPhone

More evidence of time travel?
Elvis concert video keeps people awake

We hear about time travel mostly in science fiction movies, but a video that has just appeared on the Internet puts this theory to the test. A mysterious woman may be holding an iPhone at one of Elvis’ last concerts.

Is he holding an iPhone?

Footage from one of Elvis Presley’s last concerts shows what many believe to be an iPhone, even though the phone wasn’t introduced to the world until much later – specifically in 2007.

The strange scene was discovered by a Reddit user who spotted the odd moment while watching a 1977 CBS special that featured some of the King of Rock and Roll’s final performances in June of that year.

As Elvis begins to sing “Don’t be Cruel,” he throws one of his signature scarves into the crowd. As the camera briefly focuses on his admirers trying to grab her, a woman can be seen holding a rather odd black rectangular object with a small silver square that bears a striking resemblance to an Apple mobile phone.

More evidence of time travel?

The video leads some users to believe that she may be a time traveler who traveled from somewhere in the future to 1977 to capture the momentous event on her iPhone.

One user commented on the video: “Logically I know time travelers don’t exist, but it’s really hard not to think about it when I see this.” Another Reddit user then turned things around and asked, “Could this be an example of technological advancement that did only the elite have access?’

However, more skeptical individuals point to the futility of using a mobile device at a time when it would be of no use, and claim that the object of speculation is probably just a period camera that only looks futuristic because the woman is holding it in a familiar way – like when people today film a concert with their smartphones.

The closest to the truth is apparently a user who recalled that the alleged iPhone looks similar to the Kodak 110 camera, which was on sale as early as 1972.
