The director of Pinocchio has chosen the biopic of Baz Luhrmann. For Wes Anderson, it’s Noah Baumach’s White Noise.
The American magazine Variety asked some filmmakers who marked 2022 as film of the year.
To this question, Guillermo del Toro reply : Elvisthe biopic directed by Baz Luhrmann.

Continuing his analysis, Guillermo del Toro seen inside Elvis “incredible control in a work of Baroque cinema. Control over audiovisual storytelling tools: staging, lens, camera movement, control of cut beats and use of sound design and music with virtuosic precision. Hold the pedal fully when necessary and release the accelerator when necessary. Baz’s work with his actors has long been legendary. His work with Austin created the definitive portrait of Elvis Presley and launched a superstardom!”
