Fans and loved ones paid their last respects to singer Lisa Marie Presley. At the funeral of the daughter of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley on the family estate Graceland in the US state of Tennessee, hundreds of mourners came together on Sunday (local time) for a public memorial service, including Lisa Marie’s mother Priscilla Presley and numerous prominent artists such as singer Alanis Morisette, Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose and Smashing Pumpkins singer Billy Corgan.
According to media reports, Presley suffered cardiac arrest almost two weeks ago. Just two days earlier, the 54-year-old singer attended the Golden Globes Gala with her mother, where Austin Butler was honored for playing her father in the movie “Elvis.”
Lisa Marie was Elvis Presley’s only child and has released three albums herself as a singer. In the past, she also made headlines with a year-and-a-half marriage to pop icon Michael Jackson and just three months to US actor Nicolas Cage.
She was then married to actor and composer Michael Lockwood. Danny Keough was her first husband and the couple divorced in 1994.
Lisa Marie Presley’s daughter is actress Riley Keough, who starred in the action film “Mad Max: Fury Road”. Presley’s son Benjamin Keough committed suicide in July 2020 – a drama that was difficult for her to get over. She was reportedly buried next to him at Graceland.
