At 9pm on Saturday evening, a large number of emergency services gathered at the quay in Knarvik in Alver municipality. The ambulance helicopter was also on the scene.
A man has been found dead in the sea outside Knarvik, the police confirm to BA. They do not suspect that anything criminal has taken place.
– But the police always think broadly, and we keep all doors open. We still have no indications that anything criminal has happened, says operations manager Jørgen Ommedal.
– We first received a report of concern, and then reports of observations from people who had seen something in the sea, he adds.
The next of kin have not been notified, says the operations manager at 2245. The next time will be used for precisely this.
