Elton John’s vintage convertible to be auctioned – Motor

There are no modifications to the chassis, engine and gearbox: under the hood is an inline six-cylinder naturally aspirated 4.45-liter gasoline overhead valve engine with three carburetors, the transmission is a four-speed “mechanics” with an electromagnetic actuator, so you can change gears without a clutch pedal.

Despite the unauthentic state, the Delahaye 175 is of collectible value, since about 50 copies were produced between 1948 and 1951. The exhibition model chassis number is 815036.
