Elton John was briefly hospitalized last weekend after a fall in his villa in Nice, France, British media report Monday. The 76-year-old singer is currently doing well.
“We can confirm that following a slide at his home in the south of France, Elton was taken to a nearby hospital yesterday as a precautionary measure,” his management’s statement read.
“After a few checks, he was immediately discharged this morning. He is back home and in good health.”
John lives with his husband David Furnish and their two children in their villa on the French Riviera.
The British singer closed his farewell tour at the beginning of July Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in the Swedish capital Stockholm. He is currently enjoying a vacation.
