Cinema in Elsdorf needs urgent renovation

The cinema in Elsdorf has been closed for around two years and is in a poor condition. Mold, a broken heater and no electricity mean the building is currently unusable. The town of Elsdorf now wants to check whether the cinema can be used again in the future and plans to actively involve the citizens of Elsdorf in this process.

On Saturday, September 28th, anyone interested can visit the cinema between 10am and 12pm and see for themselves what the current state is like. The cinema was selected for the “Third Places” funding program at the beginning of the year. This will give the city of Elsdorf up to 50,000 euros to analyze the condition of the cinema and develop economic plans.

In addition to the tour on Saturday, an information evening will take place on Monday, September 30th, in the community center in Neu-Etzweiler. Further details and ideas for the possible reopening of the cinema will be discussed here.
