Elon Musk’s Neuralink company is preparing for its first brain implant surgery.
The conditions that Neuralink company is looking for in volunteers for its first brain chip surgery have been announced.
NEURALINK IS LOOKING FOR PATIENTS WITH PARALYSIS
According to Bloomberg news, Neuralink is looking for an adult under the age of 40 who is quadriplegic, that is, paralyzed in both arms or legs.
The surgery will require removing a large piece of the person’s skull to insert thin wires and electrodes into the brain.
It was noted that a part removed from the skull will be replaced with a small chip that will remain there for several years.
IT WILL BE THE SIZE OF A COIN
It was stated that the chip will be the size of a coin and will read the brain activities of the inserted patient.
Then, the data obtained from the brain waves will be monitored on the computer or tablet.
This Brain implant is expected to help convert a person’s thoughts into commands through a computer.
THE COMPANY IS READY TO INSTALL CHIP
After years of work, it was stated that the Neuralink company is ready to test the brain chip on humans.
