This Sunday, Musk published a tweet in which he asked his followers: “Instagram depresses and Twitter angers. Which is better?“. A Twitter user told him answered that his platform doesn’t make people angry, it makes them laugh. To which the billionaire acknowledged that he laughs a lot with the social network that he bought for 44,000 million dollars.
However, this is not the first time Musk has been wary of Instagram. Back in 2018, when she appeared on the podcast The Joe Rogan Experiencethe CEO of Tesla indicated that Instagram can make people appear prettier and happier “than they really are.”
At the time, Musk added that seeing attractive and happy people on social media can make people think, “I’m not that good looking and I’m not that happy. So I must be gross.”
