On Thursday, founder Elon Musk announced that Tesla is building a human-like robot and that they will probably have a prototype ready next year.
The robot will be shaped like a human body and have a screen where the face would have been, Musk says according to CNN.
He says that physical work will be a choice in the future, and according to himself, the robot will have a big impact on the economy. The robot must be able to turn on cars, vacuum and go to the store.
Musk describes the robot as an extension of Tesla’s work to build self-driving cars. The robot will use the same computer chip and navigate with eight cameras, as Tesla’s cars do, writes CNN.
