Elon Musk Wants To Retire From Tesla & Space X, Here’s Why

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Inc. is starting to think about quitting and leaving his job. Musk plans to become an influencer.

The richest person in the world revealed it through a tweet, as quoted by CNBC Indonesia, Sunday (12/12/2021).

“Thinking about quitting my job & becoming a full-time influencer. What do you think?” Musk said in a tweet, without elaborating.

But it’s not clear whether Musk, a prolific user of the social media platform, is serious about quitting his current post.

In January, Musk, who is also the founder and CEO of rocket company SpaceX and leads brain chip startup Neuralink and infrastructure firm The Boring Company, said he hoped to be Tesla CEO for “a few years.”

“It would be nice to have a little more free time than just working day and night, from when I wake up to when I go to bed 7 days a week. It’s pretty intense,” she says.

Last month, he also asked his Twitter followers if he should sell his 10% stake in Tesla. All the majority agree. He has sold nearly $12 billion worth of stock since then.

Musk previously returned to being the richest person in the world with assets touching US $ 300 billion. This comes after yesterday he wrote on his personal Twitter account that the Tesla Model 3 Plaid will be available in China after March 2022.

This Twitter joke tossed Tesla’s share price by almost 2% on the US stock exchange in mid -November 2021. Elon Musk’s fortune also rose to US $ 4.6 billion overnight.

Thanks to this increase in stock prices, Elon Musk’s total wealth reached US $ 300.8 billion or equivalent to Rp. 4,272 trillion. This is the second time that Elon Musk’s wealth has surpassed this figure, having previously never been achieved by any billionaire, as quoted from Forbes.
