Elon Musk escalated his war of words with the head of Meta Platforms, Mark Zuckerberg, by implying that he’s behind a parody account calling the head of Meta “lizard boy.”

Musk, 52, feuded with Zuckerberg after they agreed to face each other in a cage fight.

Musk tweeted on June 20, boasting that he was ready for a cage match if that was the case, to which the Meta boss responded on Instagram with, “Send me the location.”

In the final part of their rivalry, a satirical account on Twitter, which recently went viral for criticizing the Threads app, dubbed Meta’s boss “lizard boy”.

In a July 7 post, the sarcastic account wrote: “I spent $44 billion to buy this app and now Lizard boy just decided to hit copy and paste. It’s personal now. See you in the cage, Zook.”

In response to the tweet, Musk said, “A lot of people think this account is me.”

He attached the tweet to a side emoji, which sparked speculation that he was behind the account attacking Zuckerberg, according to the Daily Mail, and Al Arabiya.net reviewed it.

But Musk later told the owner of the popular YouTube channel, Mr. Beast, that he was not behind the account, which had mocked Zuckerberg in recent weeks.

In one tweet, she posted a fake image of Musk’s face on the UFC fighter’s body and added, “I have an offer for Mr. Zuckerberg… The winner of our fight gets ownership of the social media platform for 24 hours.” You win, you get Twitter. I win, I get dead. May I know”.

Although the identity of the parody account’s owner has yet to be confirmed, Musk himself has tweeted similar things about Zuckerberg.

Just this week, the official account of the Tesla CEO responded to screenshots of Zuckerberg, 39, laughing at a tweet telling Zuckerberg to start a space rocket company to drive Musk crazy. Musk wrote an obscene tweet in response to this post.

While Zuckerberg broke his decade-long Twitter silence on July 6 by tweeting a Spider-Man meme to launch Threads.

For his part, Musk threatened to file a lawsuit on the platform, accusing it of illegally bullying former employees to create a “fake” app.

Twitter’s attorney, Alex Spiro, wrote in a letter released Thursday: “Twitter has serious concerns that Meta has engaged in the systematic, willful, and illegal misappropriation of trade secrets and other intellectual property of Twitter.”

Twitter intends to strictly enforce its intellectual property rights, and requests Meta to take immediate steps to stop using any Twitter trade secrets or other top-secret information.

It was also alleged that Meta commissioned these employees to create Threads with the intent of using Twitter’s trade secrets and other intellectual property in order to further the development of a Twitter competitor.

The decision to create a competitor comes after Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion in October last year.

Some of his actions have caused Twitter to plummet in value, with Fidelity recently estimating that Twitter is only worth a third of what Musk paid.
