Elon Musk tries an unconventional strategy against wind turbines
In addition to consumer goods giants Mars, Unilever and CVS Health, the lesser-known wind turbine maker Ørsted is also involved – an unusual opponent for Musk. As CEO and co-owner of electric vehicle maker Tesla, the 53-year-old has publicly stated his commitment to accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy, which makes Ørsted seem like an ally. Además, Ørsted was not a major advertising partner on Twitter or X. Ørsted declined to comment, and Twitter X did not respond to a request for comment.
The motivation behind Musk’s legal action against Ørsted appears to be that he wants this case to be heard in the Northern District of Texas. This is the jurisdiction of Reed O’Connor, a conservative judge who has opposed strict gun laws and Barack Obama’s health care reform. However, he can only rule on the case if the plaintiffs or the defendant companies have a local connection to the court.
