AUSTIN, Texas.- Elon Musk, Tesla’s chief executive, referred to Austin again, this time calling for more houses to be built in the Texas capital.
–
“There is an urgent need to build more homes in the greater Austin area,” Musk tweeted.

Homelessness is not new to the Texas capital. “Austin has had one of the hottest housing markets of the coronavirus pandemic era. A typical home sells for a price 23% higher than the previous year in February, and it sells in 30 days, 12 days faster than the previous year ”, according to an analysis of Redfin, a real estate firm.
–
This is added to the fact that there is little inventory and high demand. In February of this year, the median sales price in Travis County was $ 470,000, according to the Austin Board of Realtors. That is 25% more than last year.

Musk posted the message on Twitter after last week urging people to move to Austin to work on the new Tesla plant.
