Na de takeover deal with Twitter Elon Musk has happily continued to tweet jokes. The most remarkable: that he wants to take over Coca-Cola and then return the original cola recipe from 1886, i.e. with cocaine. With the Coke tweets, Musk responded to all the jokes that have been made on social media in recent days about his takeover of Twitter† “Let’s maximize the fun on Twitter!” Musk added.
Coca-Cola is probably too expensive even for the richest man on Earth. The market value of the cola brand is 284 billion dollars, while Musk’s fortune is estimated at about 253 billion dollars. A large part of this is in shares.

Freedom of speech
If Musk’s $44 billion takeover goes through, he wants to turn Twitter into a bastion of free speech. In several tweets, the billionaire has said that he thinks Twitter is currently applying too strict rules.
“By ‘freedom of speech’ I simply mean that which corresponds to the law. I am against censorship that goes far beyond the law. If people want less freedom of speech, they will ask the government to change laws. disregard the law contrary to the will of the people”, according to Musk.

Stock exchange watchdog’s ‘tweet ban’
His tweets regularly get Musk into trouble. His reports about Tesla, for example, repeatedly caused large price fluctuations. The tweet in which he said in 2018 that he wanted to take Tesla off the stock exchange led to a lingering conflict with the US stock market regulator SEC, which felt that Musk was misleading investors. The SEC forced him into a settlement in which he promised to have all his tweets checked by lawyers before posting them.
Musk has been trying to get out of the SEC’s ‘tweet ban’ in recent months, but the judge judged Wednesday that the measure will remain in effect. He will therefore have to continue submitting his tweets to lawyers.
