The billionaire announced that, in the future, only Twitter Blue users – paying subscribers – will be able to vote in polls on the social network
This Monday ended the voting period in the poll that Elon Musk himself, CEO and owner of Twitter, launched to decide his future at the helm of this social network. As a result, 57.5% of the more than 17 million registered votes voted in favor of the American’s resignation as Twitter’s CEO.
Hours after this result was released, Musk spoke about the result of his poll for the first time, and he did so via Twitter. There he ensured that, in the future, only paid Twitter subscribers, those who have Twitter Blue, will be able to vote in future polls related to the company’s policies.
Several users implied in several tweets that the poll results were biased as there were fake accounts that had voted, some theories to which Musk responded as “interesting”.
Another user suggested to him that “premium subscribers should be the only ones able to vote in polls related to company policies”, to which Musk replied: “Great observation. Twitter will make this change”.
