Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Twitter social media boss Elon Musk plans to replace Twitter’s iconic blue bird logo. He conveyed this in a tweet on Sunday, at 12.06 local time.

“We will say goodbye to the twitter logo and, gradually,” the billionaire was quoted as saying ReutersSunday (23/7/2023).

Musk also posted an image of a flashing X in place of the blue bird logo. However, he did not provide further details.

“If a pretty good X logo gets posted tonight, we’ll be showing it worldwide tomorrow,” he added.

On the other hand, Twitter’s website says its logo, which depicts a blue bird, is its most recognizable asset. That is also the reason the logo is highly protected.

As for last April, the blue bird logo was temporarily replaced by the Shiba Inu Dogecoin dog. The dog logo is part of the Dogecoin blockchain and cryptocurrency logo, which was created as a joke in 2013, to mock other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin.

Musk, who bought Twitter last fall for $44 billion, is a huge fan of the meme. Musk has even promoted Dogecoin both on Twitter and in television broadcasts.

This Twitter logo change only takes place on the web version. Meanwhile for the application, there is no change whatsoever.

The change in the Twitter logo also has a positive impact on bitcoin Shiba Inu. Where the price of Dogecoin jumped 25.24% in the last 24 to US $ 0.09702.

Besides the logo, various policies have been published by Musk. Since taking office in October, Twitter has changed its business name to X Corp. This name reflects Musk’s vision to create a super app, like WeChat in China.
