Elon Musk Plans to Open STEM-Focused University and School in Texas with $100 Million Donation

Along with working in his companies, Elon Musk seems to have focused on educating the youth. Bloomberg’s latest report indicates that the billionaire wants to create his own university in Austin, Texas, which would focus on learning STEM, or science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

But before that, it is planned to open an educational institution for younger aspirants. Musk has reportedly already donated $100 million to The Foundation, a charity that plans to open a school for elementary school children. The curriculum would focus on learning STEM subjects, and it is planned that the school would initially enroll 50 students.

This charitable organization plans to expand its activities and with Elon Musk’s financial support, establish a university. Initially, it is planned that studies will be free of charge. Musk himself has not yet commented on these statements.

It should be noted that the billionaire was already interested in opening a school and in 2014 he even created a small private school “Ad Astra”, where both Musk’s own children and those of his subordinates studied. He then revealed that grades are not given in this school, instead the focus is on developing children’s abilities and talents. And until recently, Musk was interested in creating a Montessori-style school in Texas.
