Elon Musk Outlines Neuralink’s Plan! 6 months for human trials

Neuralink is another company Elon Musk is investing in to change humanity and create new forms of interaction. He wants to do it with the implants that will be the interface to then be connected and control a computer.

The initiative has been growing over the years and now another aim and objective has been presented. Within 6 months, Neuralink wants to start testing in humans, thus opening the door to what it will be able to do with its implants.

Despite being a project of great importance, Neuralink is one of Elon Musk's most discreet companies. His manager took to the stage today to take stock of his developments and show the state his developments are in.

In his regular stage presence, Elon Musk revealed that Neuralink is moving towards beginning human testing very soon. After these were aimed at 2020 and then at 2022, they are now aimed within 6 months, i.e. in 2023.

It will be a very important step, but it is logical and expected. After testing with pigs and monkeys over the years, it's time to get closer to the final version. All documentation will be turned over to the FDA and awaiting clearance.

In one video shown, a monkey was writing the phrase "welcome to show and tell" using his implant, focusing on the highlighted words and letters. Another video showed how monkeys were trained to charge devices while sitting under a wireless charger.

Neuralink devices are small, multiple flexible wires that can be inserted into the brain. Elon Musk has revealed that it will be like replacing a piece of his skull with a smartwatch, for lack of a better analogy. In about 15 minutes, 64 of these wires can be implanted into the brain using a robotic system.

Elon Musk himself, when on stage, said he hopes to use one of these implants in the future. His catchphrase of the evening shows how the future is being drawn: Our first production device will look a lot like an iPhone 1.
