Here’s what it is

  • Kanye West shocked in an interview with statements about Hitler and the Nazis.

  • According to Kanye West, he loves Nazis and likes Hitler.

  • Now his Twitter account has been blocked again.

Twitter suspended rapper Kanye West’s account on Friday after the musician posted an image of a Star of David intertwined with a swastika. West’s account was blocked for “inciting violence,” Twitter boss Elon Musk said.

Kanye West had previously caused outrage again with admiring statements about Hitler and the Nazis. “I like Hitler” and “I love the Nazis,” the 45-year-old said Thursday in an interview with well-known far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. Shortly after this appearance, right-wing online network Parler announced that its the planned sale to West was cancelled they became.

“I also see good things in Hitler,” said the musician and fashion designer, who renamed himself Ye and covered his face completely with a black mask during the interview. “This guy (…) invented the highways and the microphone that I used as a musician,” added the 45-year-old, who had previously been discredited for anti-Semitic statements. “You can’t say out loud that this person has ever done anything right, and I don’t anymore.”

Already blocked in October

When the rapper was banned from Instagram in October for an anti-Semitic post, he took to Twitter for the first time in nearly two years. “Welcome back to Twitter my friend,” Musk tweeted. Just a day later, West was also blocked from Twitter for an anti-Semitic statement. A few hours after the takeover was completed, West’s account was back online, albeit without the offending tweet.
