Elon Musk mocked President Joe Biden on Sunday, alluding to the nickname former President Donald Trump gave Biden. “Joe somnoliento. “

A Twitter user asked why Biden had yet to congratulate the crew of SpaceX’s Inspiration4, the world’s first fully civilian space mission. The gang landed on saturday night after orbiting the Earth for three days.

“He’s still sleeping,” Musk replied.

Musk’s joke alluded to the derogatory nickname Trump used for Biden during the 2020 presidential election.

Musk also responded to a Twitter meme that appeared to attack the Biden government’s relationship with unions.

The meme featured a scene from the movie “Alien.” In the meme, a parasitic alien attached to a person’s face was labeled “UAW” (United Auto Workers) and the person labeled “Biden.”

Musk seemed to agree with the meme, commenting “it seems so”, below that.

Musk last week criticized a Democratic-led bill that would give $ 4,500 tax relief for consumers who purchase electric vehicles manufactured by union companies. He claimed, without evidence, that lobbyists for the UAW and Ford had drafted the bill.

Tesla historically opposed unionization and, in March, the National Labor Relations Board ordered Musk to delete a 2018 anti-union tweet and rehire a fired union activist. Tesla appealed the decision in April.

Biden seemed to snub Tesla at a White House event in August that featured electric vehicles. Musk tweeted at the time: “It seems strange that Tesla was not invited.”

Musk also said in February that he had spoken with the Biden administration about the possibility of introducing a carbon tax, but that the government had dismissed this as too politically difficult.
