IDXChannel – Rival messaging app Whatsapp that is Signal recorded the fastest growth record in the first quarter of 2021. This application skyrocketed and suddenly popular after being recommended by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla who is also one of the richest people in the world.
Signal also suddenly became popular due to the Whatsapp privacy policy which had caused controversy, so many people started looking for alternatives to similar messaging applications, one of which was Signal.

The record recorded the best numbers in terms of downloads and monthly active users of Signal in the first quarter (Q1) of this year.
Launching from Gizchina, Tuesday (6/4/2021), apart from Signal, Telegram is Telegram which is in the number 3 position in terms of the number of downloads.
Although, there are more monthly active users on Telegram. According to analytics, Telegram is at No.2 globally for MAU (monthly active users).
It is said that the reason for the sudden increase in downloads and MAU is WhatsApp’s privacy policy. The policy is of course the concern of all users, and those who care about privacy, go looking for other alternative applications. Thus, the number of downloads for Signal and Telegram is increasing day by day.
Signal is perfect for those who prefer simplicity while Telegram is recommended for those who want a feature rich experience.
