(Reuters) – Elon Musk launched a Twitter consultation on Friday evening about the return of former US President Donald Trump, whose account was suspended since his supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2020, on the platform.
“Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” Elon Musk tweeted, a Latin phrase commonly translated as: “The voice of the people is the voice of God.” About 60% of those who responded said they were “yes”.
The billionaire, the new owner of Twitter, said in May that he would reconsider excluding Donald Trump from the social network.
The Tesla boss, however, indicated earlier in the day that the decision regarding a possible return of Donald Trump to the platform had not yet been made.
