Billionaire Elon Musk seems to be on track to become the world’s first billionaire by 2027. The British newspaper Guardian reported on the topic.
Based on the report prepared by Informa Connect Academy, Elon Musk will reach that position if his wealth grows at the current rate. Musk’s wealth grows by about 110 percent annually on average.
However, Musk is not the only one to whom the Informa Connect Academy will give the title of billionaire in the coming years.
Next in the so-called billionaire line is an Indian businessman Gautam Adan. According to the report, Adani would become the next billionaire in 2028 if his wealth continues to grow by 123 percent per year.
The CEO of the technology company Nvidia, Jensen Huang, and the Indonesian energy and mining mogul Prajojo Pangestu can also reach billionaire status in 2028 under the same conditions.
The third richest man in the world, of LVMH (Louis Vuitton & Moët Hennessy) according to the report, CEO Bernard Arnault could join the billionaire club in 2030. In the same year, the report also estimates Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth to exceed a trillion dollars.
Bends on the way?
The Guardian also presents possible obstacles, or at least retarders, to the growth of Musk’s wealth – for example, this update from a few days ago in the X communication service.
In the update, Musk commented on the controversial, to say the least, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s interview with right-wing podcast host Darryl Cooper. Musk called the interview interesting and worth watching. Musk’s update received a lot of backlash.
Cooper, who was in the interview, has made several pro-Nazi statements in his own podcast. In Carlson’s interview, Cooper called, among other things, the Holocaust “humane”, because the six million victims of the Holocaust who were considered “prisoners of war” simply could not be fed due to the lack of food.
In addition to six million Jews, the Nazis murdered millions of people belonging to minorities during the Second World War. Before the murders, the vast majority of the victims were tortured and starved in concentration camps.
Instead of Adolf Hitler, who led Nazi Germany, Cooper also called British wartime prime minister Winston Churchill the “chief devil of war”.
After the White House called Carlson’s interview with Cooper a “disgusting and sadistic insult to all Americans,” Musk removed his X update.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires index, Musk will be the richest person in the world in 2024 with a fortune of 251 billion dollars.
