Tesla leader Elon Musk’s implant company, Neuralink, has released a video about a new program that seems pretty incredible at first – read Portfolion.
In it, they show how a monkey with a brain implant can already control a video game with his thoughts; a rhesus monkey named Pager is playing ping pong in the game, according to the video.
The video shows that for the first time, the monkey plays with a joystick, when it hits a target, it gets banana juice through a straw.
The game then gets heavier, the tool remains in the hands of the monkey, but already his thoughts control the events.
Then comes the third phase.
Neuralink’s long-term goal is to give paralyzed people a new chance to re-enable movement with brain signals.
