Elon Musk is angry with Canada and feels persecuted

For Elon Musk these are particularly busy days, and not for launching a rocket SpaceX o of a new Tesla model. No, none of that, and Neuralink’s monkeys aren’t involved either, so the richest man in the world was accused of animal abuse during scientific experiments. The most current problems concern the relationship with the American SEC – Securities and Exchange Commission – or the supervisory body of the Stock Exchange and with … Nazism. Or rather, with the publication of tweets containing memes whose interpretation could be, let’s say, distorted.

WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE SEC

Let’s start with the SEC story: it all started (look a bit) from a tweet that Musk had published in August 2018, in which revealed his intention to pull Tesla off Wall Street. A 9-word message that sparked all hell on the stock market and beyond and that the American supervisory commission – the SEC, in fact – didn’t like it at all. Which immediately started to counterattack, accusing Musk of fraud. “False and misleading statements“, with references in the tweet to”marijuana culture” (420 are the dollars per share quoted by Musk, but it is also the code to refer to the substance).

Madness of King Elon: so

And now, three and a half years later, Elon Musk accuses the SEC of persecution and to continually attack his right to express himself freely, in accordance with the provisions of the First Amendment. “A campaign of harassment“, defines it as Tesla’s number one. Then think that at the end of 2018 an agreement had been reached between Musk, Tesla and SEC, in which the first two would have paid each $ 20 million in commissionwhich then she would be committed to redistribute the money raised to shareholders who had lost large sums of money precisely because of the CEO’s tweets. But apparently this redistribution would not have happened yet, and the $ 40 million would still be in the SEC’s coffers.

A push and pull that we fear will continue in the coming months.

THE NO VAX TRUCKS OF CANADA AND UNHAPPY REFLECTIONS TO THE PAST

Let’s move further north, in Canadawhere a very harsh protest by no vax truckers is underway against the rules imposed by the government for containment of the pandemic within the country. Well, it was enough for Musk to publish a tweet on the subject to unleash a (new) uproar: the CEO has in fact posted a meme in which Hitler is depicted with the words: “Just compare myself with Justin Trudeau, I had a budget“.

A clear reference to the emergency policies adopted by the Canadian Prime Minister (for the first time in Canadian history, in the name of national security) to stem the protests of truckers who, in recent days, have brought downtown Ottawa to its knees and, consequently, the whole country. The Anti Defamation League (international NGO) has defined the tweet – now removed – “inappropriate and offensive“.
