Just yesterday, Boston Dynamics showed how its humanoid Atlas robots can (more or less) conquer a monkey’s path with grace, better than many people.
But now it’s Tesla’s turn, whose humanoid robots Tesla Bot, unlike the shapeless Atlases, already look like a cut-out from a sci-fi film and have a graceful body, whose head definitely doesn’t look like a funny ice cube and inguinal extension to look at.
–
However, Tesla Bot is still more of a vision of the future about 173 cm high and 57 kg heavy, while with such proportions it will be able to carry a maximum of 20 kg, which is not enough for a small bag of cement, but maybe there will be other work. On outstretched arms it will be a maximum of about 5 kg and with the help of the legs (deadlift) it should lift up to 57 kg from the ground.
–
Tesla Bot will use a speed of up to 8 km / h using some of the 40 engines or locomotives. He has 12 in his arms, 2 in his neck, 2 in his torso, 12 in his arms and 12 in his legs. But what is Tesla Bot made of? we don’t know that, but it’s supposed to be light materials (carbon skeleton?) with an obviously flexible surface. As for the head, it will not only be black and empty. It will show “important information” on its display, which is basically the standard.

Elon Musk states that Tesla Bot will be designed to perform work that is too dangerous or repetitive and boring for people. According to Musek, physical work for the people of the future will be just a choice and not a necessity. We will be able to do it if we want to.
–
Of course, Musk also remarked that his robots were to be friendly, and if they did rebel, we could easily escape them or defeat them. After all, Musk’s companies undertook in 2018that they will not develop robotic technologies that could be used to attack humans. According to Musek, there is also a moral rule in it, which says that we should not create machines that will be able to make life-influencing or threatening decisions for which no human being may be responsible as a result. The abilities of Tesla robots in terms of speed or ability to carry cargo will correspond to this.

However, as has been said, the Tesla Bot project is currently in the concept phase, with the first working prototype due to arrive next year.
