LIVE Techno – Elon Musk mocking Bill Gates on Twitter after the former Microsoft CEO outlined his vision of a ‘cheap and clean’ solution to the energy crisis.
The Twitter account @WholeMarsBlog posted a screenshot of Gates’ tweet promoting hydrogen while adding an article on the blog about the ongoing problem.
“Cheap and clean hydrogen would be a massive energy breakthrough,” he wrote. The @WholeMarsBlog post was added with an emoji of a man covering his face with his palm.
In response, Twitter user @Rjdlandscapes quipped, “Cheap clean hydrogen would be a major breakthrough, we have a lot of uses for it. Also if we could bottle up tooth fairies and clone Santa Claus — and replace public transport with unicorns — we’d all be fine. -all right,” he said.
Musk, who is a proponent of solar power, reacted to this statement with a laughing emoji rolling on the floor.
He wasn’t the only one mocking Gates. Aerospace Engineer Sid Chambers tweeted ‘Omg is he serious?’. Meanwhile software developer Ryan Zohoury wrote, “Funny. How Bill should pay to promote the tweet so people actually see it,” he said.
Gates said hydrogen is a pure substance that is reactive chemical energy. If we can lower costs far enough and keep them in stock, we can also start using clean hydrogen to replace fossil fuels in all kinds of other industrial processes.
This includes the production of key resources such as plastics, steel, liquid fuels and even food. Hydrogen has also been proposed as a fuel for heavy tasks, such as long-distance transportation.
“The more excited about the benefits of clean hydrogen, the faster businesses and governments will work to make it a real alternative to fossil fuels. That’s how we avoid a climate catastrophe.”
