Bos Tesla, Elon Musk has announced that the deal to buy Twitter will have to be put on hold temporarily. This announcement was made via his personal Twitter account.
“The Twitter deal is temporarily suspended, details that support calculations that spam/fake accounts do represent less than 5% of users,” Musk said. ReutersFriday (13/5/2022).
As for Musk’s agreement to buy Twitter for US $ 44 billion or Rp. 638 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 14,500).
The announcement caused the social media platform Twitter to fall. Twitter shares fell 17.7% to $37.10 in premarket trading.
It was the lowest level since Musk had previously announced his purchase of Twitter in early April. At that time Twitter stock jumped to US $ 54.20 per share.
In his latest tweet, Elon Musk refer to the news Reuters May 2nd. The news writes that Twitter estimates fake or spam accounts represent less than 5% of monetizable daily active users during the first quarter.

If the deal is eventually scrapped, Musk could face up to $1 billion in termination damages.
