On Monday, the micro-blogging site “Twitter” changed its name and image on the official account from the sparrow to the letter “X”, and its owner, the American billionaire, Elon Musk, put the new logo on the image of his official account.
On Sunday, Musk said he was looking forward to changing the Twitter logo, and posted a tweet: “Soon we will say goodbye to the Twitter brand, and gradually all birds.”
According to one of the many tweets posted yesterday by the billionaire, the owner of the social media platform, the new Twitter logo, which is the letter (X) X, was published in good time of the night, and it will circulate throughout the world on Monday.
Musk posted a picture of the letter (X) flashing, and later during a voice chat via the (Twitter Spaces) feature, he answered “yes” to a question about the existence of a plan to change the Twitter logo. “This should have happened long ago,” he added.
Musk said in another tweet, which he attached to a picture of him making his arms in the shape of the letter (X) in front of the logo of the electric car maker Tesla with the letter (X): “I am not sure of the exact clues that led to this, but I love the letter (X).”
It is noteworthy that Musk, who acquired Twitter in late October for $ 44 billion, has repeatedly confirmed that he plans to make Twitter a comprehensive platform, similar to the Chinese WeChat service, and earlier this year he changed the name of Twitter’s business to X Corp, or X Corp.
It is noteworthy that Musk announced, in a surprising move in early April, the change of the Twitter logo from the bird to the dog (Shiba Inu), which is used as a logo for the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, which led to a rapid rise in the value of the currency price in the market.
Twitter drew widespread criticism from users and marketing professionals when Musk announced early this month that Twitter would limit the number of tweets different accounts could read per day.
And the turmoil that Twitter has suffered since its acquisition by Musk has led to the threads blogging platform, which launched Meta earlier this month to compete with Twitter, to attract more than 100 million registrations within just five days of launch.
