Elon Musk buys Twitter: What will become of the short message service?

German magazine publishers reacted calmly the day after the planned Twitter deal was announced. The managing director of the Media Association of the Free Press, Stephan Scherzer, spoke on Tuesday when asked by dpa about the possible effects for media houses of looking into the crystal ball. Scherzer initially sees the question of freedom of the press as rather relaxed after what Musk said about the diversity of opinion. He said at the same time: “You have to see: If at some point only Tesla advertising is running, then you can think about it. But I don’t think that’s the intention.” But the whole thing shows how important communication is on a global scale.
