Voiceless support Elon Musk forward Donald Trump as a Candidate for the President of the United States, many parties do not like him. One of them is the European pharmaceutical giant Rossmann which announced that it will no longer buy Tesla electric vehicles citing Musk’s political support for Trump.
Rossmann, whose headquarters are in Germany, said that his decision was based on a difference between the statements of the CEO of Tesla and the values that Tesla represents with its products.
“Musk has made no secret of his support for Donald Trump. Trump has repeatedly referred to climate change as a hoax, this idea is very different from Tesla’s intention to contribute to the protection of the environment through the production of electric cars, ” said Raoul Rossmann, its company spokesman quoted by detikINET from CNBC.

Although Rossmann only buys about 180 electric vehicles per year and has a fleet of only 38 Teslas, the company’s decision to cut all Tesla purchases shows that Musk’s political direction is beginning affecting consumers.
Musk officially endorsed Trump last month, and admitted that he donated money to a pro-Trump group he helped found, called America PAC. Musk also plans to interview the former president.
During a debate with Joe Biden, Trump has avoided questions about what he would do to fight climate change. He called climate change a hoax. He also promised to withdraw the US from the Paris climate agreement, as he did during his term, if he was re-elected.
According to a Morning Consult survey, Republicans in the US began to view Musk more positively after the Twitter purchase. However, this did not lead to an increase in Republican buyers of electric vehicles. According to Pew Research, Musk’s popularity among Democratic voters is declining even though they are much more likely to buy electric cars.
Rossman’s decision follows a recent study that found a decline in Tesla’s brand image, caused in part by Musk’s controversies and political views.
