Elon Musk: “Apple threatens to remove Twitter from the App Store”

Elon Muskthe new Twitter controller, accused Apple this Monday 28 of having threatened to remove the social network application from the App Store, the company’s application store.

“Apple also threatened to remove Twitter from its app store, but didn’t tell us why,” published Elon Musk on the platform.

Today, the billionaire sent a series of direct messages to the iPhone maker. In one, he said the company has basically stopped advertising on Twitter. “Do they hate free speech in America?” he asked.

Tim Cook, current Apple CEO, was tagged in the post. “What’s going on here Tim Cook?” he wrote.

In late October, Elon Musk closed the purchase of Twitter. In announcing the completion of the deal, he said he was motivated to promote freedom of expression.

“The reason I acquired Twitter is because I think it’s important for the future of civilization to have a common digital square where a wide range of beliefs can be discussed in a healthy way without resorting to violence,” she said. He assures that the company was not motivated to make more money.

“I didn’t do it because it would be easy, I didn’t do it to make more money,” she wrote. “I did this to try to help humanity, recognizing that failure to pursue that goal, despite our best efforts, is a very real possibility.”
