Ordinary Twitter users can only read 600 messages a day from now on, reports the company’s owner Elon Musk. Paying users can read it tenfold.
Musk says the measure is temporary to limit large-scale data collection.
Verified accounts, which cost money to have, can see 6,000 messages a day. Unverified free accounts can see 600, while newly created free accounts are limited to 300 messages a day, Musk reports Twitter.
On Friday, Twitter announced that you must be logged in with a user to read messages.
Musk has previously expressed displeasure with AI companies such as OpenAI for allegedly using data from Twitter to train the AI tool ChatGPT.
