American billionaire Elon Musk has announced his plans to launch his own version of the chatbot with artificial intelligence, which will be called TruthGPT.
According to the American businessman, his new artificial intelligence platform should become a competitor to the controversial ChatGPT chatbot, with the difference that it will provide all the necessary information and be free of censorship.
“I’m going to launch something I call TruthGPT, or Truth-Seeking Most Artificial Intelligence that seeks to understand the nature of the universe,” Musk said in an interview with Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson.
“I think this could be the best path to security in the sense that artificial intelligence that cares about understanding the universe is unlikely to destroy people, because we are an interesting part of this universe,” the businessman explained.
Musk added that current chatbots are being developed by left-leaning programmers who “teach lies” to users of their platforms, warning that artificial intelligence can “catastrophically harm” the existence of humanity as a whole, if it is not properly managed.
He explained: “Artificial intelligence is more dangerous, for example, than mismanagement of aircraft design or maintenance of manufacturing, in that it has promising potential.. No matter how small this possibility is, it is not trivial, and it has prospects for destroying civilization.”
Elon Musk’s announcement of his plan to create his own Chatbot comes after launching, on April 15, an artificial intelligence company called X.AI. The Financial Times reported, citing several sources, that Musk is assembling a team to launch a new startup that works with intelligence. AI that will be able to compete with OpenAI’s 4ChatGPT AI bot.
