Elon Musk accused of sexual harassment

Elon Musk’s space company SpaceX has paid a flight attendant $250,000 to keep quiet about sexual harassment from the American billionaire. The news website Insider is now releasing the story, according to Musk to sabotage his deal with Twitter.

In 2016, the woman worked aboard a business jet belonging to SpaceX, Musk’s aerospace company. According to the woman, Musk bared his genitals on board, rubbed her leg unsolicited and promised her a horse in exchange for an erotic massage. That is stated in statements that a friend of the flight attendant shared with Insider.

They encouraged her to take a massage course. They implied that she would then be allowed to fly more often because she would be able to give Elon decent massages.

Lost career opportunities

The flight attendant initially ignored his behavior, but filed a complaint with the company two years later. She felt that her career prospects had been damaged because she hadn’t taken up with Musk. She was getting fewer and fewer hours at work and felt like she was being pushed toward the exit. “They encouraged her to take a massage course,” says the flight attendant’s friend. “They implied that then she would be allowed to fly more often, because then she would be able to give Elon decent massages.”

After the complaint, the flight attendant had a conversation with Musk in the presence of a mediator. In November 2018, the flight attendant signed an agreement with SpaceX in which the company promised her $250,000 (238,000 euros) if she did not take further legal action. That document also contained a confidentiality clause.

‘Sabotage’
